WHAT WE DO

the full scoop of our happenings

ART 180 is a community-centered arts space, gallery, and creative Collective. We provide free arts programming for young people, host exhibitions, and bring public art events and installations to Richmond.

We partner with local artists to create art programs where Richmond’s young people can explore, express, and connect. From high school experiences in our Atlas gallery in Jackson Ward to middle school and community-based programs, we use art as a tool for self-discovery and building community.

YOUTH ART PROGRAMMING

On the third Thursday of each month (April-September)from 12-2 p.m., The Easel transforms the city block outside our Atlas gallery into a space for art and connection. Watch a featured artist create in real-time while enjoying food from a local truck in our parklet.

THE EASEL

Our Atlas gallery features curated exhibitions throughout the year. From the work of youth in our programs to local and teaching artists, our gallery celebrates Richmond’s creative energy. Join us for opening nights during most First Friday Art Walks.

EXHIBITIONS

Led by artist-practitioners Jacob (AKA Infinite Peace) Fonseca and Yoko Nishizawa, Soluna offers donation-based yoga sessions for all levels. Classes are held in our Atlas gallery three times a week: Mondays at 7:30 a.m., Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m., and Fridays at 12 p.m.

For more info on the styles of yoga explored and to register for classes, head here.

COMMUNITY YOGA WITH SOLUNA

Our Atlas Artist Residency is a paid summer opportunity for high school artists to refine their skills, work with professional mentors, and focus on their craft. It’s the only program of its kind in the country.
