They live in Richmond, Virginia

The youth and communities we serve are located in Richmond, the capital city of the Commonwealth of Virginia. There are over 24,000 youth in the Richmond Public School System across more than 50 different schools, ranging from elementary to high school. These kids live in some of the most historical parts of the city, like Jackson Ward and Church Hill.

Some quick facts about them from the RPS website:

-  85.7% of elementary schools scored 80 or above on the SOL reading tests

- 85.7% of elementary schools scored 80 or above on the SOL math tests

- As of June 2008, 74.7% received Free/reduced Lunches
